Our Story

Ames & Co. is the mother company behind a family of purpose driven brands dedicated to nourishing children, celebrating meaningful moments, and enriching everyday life.

We founded Ames & Co. on the belief that businesses can strengthen communities, inspire kindness, and create meaningful impact. Every brand we build begins with one simple question. How can we make someone's life a little better?

Our journey began with Kindred Kids, created to make healthy, affordable school lunches more accessible for busy families. Kindred Kids was born from the belief that every child deserves access to wholesome food and that families should never have to sacrifice nutrition because of cost or convenience. Our goal is to create lunches that are not only nourishing, but also something children are excited to eat every day.

Our second brand, Dear Amy, was born from love, gratitude, and the enduring power of friendship. Inspired by the opening words of a heartfelt letter, the name Dear Amy, is a tribute to our founder Hilary's best friend, Amy. Although Amy is no longer with us, her kindness, generosity, and the way she made people feel continue to inspire everything we do. Through Dear Amy, her legacy lives on, reminding us that life is precious and that the moments we share with the people we love deserve to be celebrated.

Integrity is at the heart of everything we do. We believe beautiful celebrations should be accessible, thoughtfully designed, and priced fairly and with integrity. Our clients should never have to question whether they are receiving exceptional value because trust is just as important to us as the celebration itself. Every event we create is designed to bring people together, celebrate life's milestones, and create memories that last long after the day is over.

Finally came Moosey's Barkery & Threads, inspired by the unconditional love our pets bring into our lives. We believe our four legged family members deserve the very best, and we are creating thoughtfully crafted treats, apparel, and accessories that celebrate the joy, comfort, and companionship they bring to our families every day. Because our pets are family, they deserve to be celebrated too.

Although each of our brands serves a different audience, they are united by one purpose: creating products and experiences that make everyday life a little better.

Whether we are helping parents provide healthier lunches their children are excited to eat, creating celebrations that become cherished memories, or bringing joy to beloved pets and the people who love them, our mission remains the same.
